Jay’s Pizza and Pasta is easily one of my favorite places to eat! Every dish I’ve had here has been out of this world delicious—perfect portions, great prices, and you can truly taste the quality in every bite. Whether it’s their pizza, pasta, or anything else on the menu, I’ve never been disappointed. But what really makes Jay’s special is the atmosphere. It’s a cozy, welcoming mom-and-pop spot run by the kindest Bulgarian family. They always greet you with a smile and make you feel like part of their family. It’s the kind of place that keeps you coming back—not just for the amazing food, but for the warmth and hospitality. If you haven’t been yet, you’re seriously missing out! Also they deliver for those lazy nights, literally can’t beat it !!!!

Wednesday 4/9/25 Lunch at Jay’s Gourmet Seafood & Pizza with my aunt. Ordered the seafood pizza, chicken Marco Pollo, and a side salad with complimentary breadsticks. The seafood pizza was delicious and refreshing. Juan, service staff, was friendly and worked hard to serve all the customers. I met with Jay, restaurant owner & chef, who was hospitable and friendly. The restaurant was cleaned and has a nice decor and has outside seating to enjoy the ocean-front weather. I recommend trying out this awesome restaurant with unique dishes that you can’t find at other restaurants.

Amazing Italian food! Meals include soup or salad which is unusual these days and really nice. Therefore, I think you can’t complain about the prices, although I don’t like the extra sur charge restaurants are sneaking in these days instead of raising their prices. Excellent service. Reasonably priced and good house wine. Minestrone soup and the house salad were very yummy. As was the lasagna and the fettuccine alfredo. The garlic bread was too good. Large portions. A great new find for Italian!

Food was delicious! Service was great! My wife had the "Jay's Seafood Combination" plate and I had the "Fillet Menion" I highly recommend this restaurant!

When traveling do you seek local flavor? If you want to eat where the locals eat at a place that cares more about the food and rich experience than trying to impress with over the top decor - look no further. I saw the blue awning and I hesitated. But so glad we went. The garlic bread came out steaming hot and delicious. The right amount of butter and garlic to set the meal in motion. Everything we ordered was terrific and watching the calzones, the pizzas and assorted pasta dishes flow out was mesmerizing. Hard to figure out what to order because they have everything you crave Italian and lots of seafood options to satisfy. Everyone from the couple of hostesses who were both wonderful and our waitress were a delight. We loved our food and could see everyone else felt the same around us at the restaurant. I wasn’t surprised to see a good sized line forming at the 7pm hour as a nice crowd was forming. Thankfully we ate early which is what I would recommend.

Friendly servers and great food. We had 2 orders of their clam sauce. Excellent!!! Eggplant Parmesan was also over the top. We will be back for sure!!!

Super quaint restaurant with a great atmosphere. The sausage roll appetizer was delicious and much bigger than we thought. The cioppino was fantastic, huge pieces of mussels, crab, clam. A great experience tucked away in Carlsbad.
